I just got this phone. In the question and answer section a tracfone rep said it does weigh a lb like the description.
It does not.. it weighs 6.7oz. Who would want a phone that weighs 1lb.
I can add to this once I get it set up and running.. reviews in other sites are pretty good.
I returned this phone for one reason only. I have an old LGv8 phone. All of a sudden after a bad update from my small local credit union. They told me I needed a version 11 and above to work. Since it was time to get a new phone I got this Moto. The setup went easy but the app still didn't work. I was told by the person at the credit union it wouldn't work on this phone. All the other 20 or so apps are fine. The app developers on multi billion companies or less can develop apps that work. But apparently there is a reason their developer doesn't work for those big companies. They blame the phone but there is a history with this credit union since they introduced an app for devices. People were lined up in the office outside the door for help. It took more than a year to get it working on my tablet, android version 11, btw. This isn't the phone problem, it's an unqualified developer issue.
So, if you don't have a problem with apps with your older phone, this phone is very nice, it works just fine aside from my problem. Nice size and the camera image is amazing.

So far really seems to be a nice phone. I have had Tracfone for 12 yrs, my flip phone was no longer supported as of last week. Set up on line was easy, took minutes. It's faster if you choose to get a new number though. Have to create a pin to unlock it, or sign in to a Google Account, enable location and you can keep phone unlocked while at home ( or whatever address you put in ). There is a way to take out that security feature, looks rather involved and must do a reset. Got this phone for my elderly Mom, so all she needs is to make and receive a call. It doesn't automatically show your minutes or end of plan date, but comes with Tracfone app installed , so you can go to your account that way.

This is not a GSM phone!

I bought this phone directly from tracfone directly from their customer service agent. I get the phone go to activate and it wont pick up a network. After 2 days with terrible support agents that read off a script and dont have a clue, one guy was smart enough to tell me this phone will never work for you. He said he dont know why the others didnt tell me that this phone is locked to verizion towers as CDMA. We have no verizon service in my area, and when I bought the freaking phone I asked the agent if this phone was gsm, she said it was and would work here.

Im so mad I have a new paperweight, so fair warning unless your area is a verizon tower coverage area this phone will not work. It wont work on AT&T , T mobile , sprint, or any other network Tracfone uses. Only Verizon, shady company who have very ignorant service agents they dont train properly. Oh and the real kick in the pants, this phone is made by Motorola as a GSM phone, but tracfone voodoos it into a CDMA only phone. It will never be a GSM phone dont buy it thinking a sim card will change that. Tracfone changed the band radios inside the phone to CDMA.

In many aspects it was a nice phone had the generally expected features and looked nice. I found it difficult to arrange apps the way I wanted even using a 3rd party launcher. Most important even though this phone is very new it has weak voice LTE. It only picks up wifi communication in some areas and may not be eligible to register for e911 in your area. So even if it has several good features will it work for you?

I have no real complaints as far as this phone goes. I am not the most tech savvy in any way but did manage to set it up for whatever I need a cell phone for. Its capable of much more than I will ever need, however. The battery life is dreadfully short which is a strike against for me. I was forced to 'upgrade' due to the network changes recently so I needed a replacement that I could figure out with the least headache possible. Pics are pretty good, speed is fine. So far, Im as satisfied as I can be with it.

Overall impressive phone with a decent camera, responsive interface, nice size quality screen. The only thing I took away a star from is battery. Seems mediatek cpu is not as good at battery life as other processors. I keep mine in data saver mode and brightness at a reasonable level. It lasts all day but needs recharging at night. I'd say it was an incredible phone on sale at $57. Moto phones have generally been very good reasonably priced Android phones.
